Conti makes run for county commissioner

“It’s more managerial than being at the 35,000-foot level,” she said. “As state legislators, we know how the state system works, and so much of what the commissioners do is weigh in or influence the state level – to leave them alone in some cases. We [as legislators] have a different level of experience with the state agencies and departments.”

Conti says she would have no particular agenda as a commissioner, except to exercise “wise fiscal stewardship” and to find places in county administration where her business and legislative background would find relevance.

Before entering politics, Conti, a near-lifelong Colorado resident, was a small businesswoman in the food industry and directed sales representatives for Creative Memories.
