"Rep. Conti helps boost educational needs"

Having had four children benefit from a great learning environment by attending Littleton Academy, I'm a strong supporter of charter schools. Thus, I'm very happy that our Colorado State Rep. Kathleen Conti, HD 38, co-sponsored and shepherded into law House Bill 11-1089, which gives charter schools access to federal grants as well as other grants. Incredibly, prior to this, charter schools could not apply for these grants. Thus, this bill provides a big boost to our children's educational choices. Therefore, I'd encourage anyone who cares about education to vote for Rep. Kathleen Conti this November, so she can continue to help our children get the education they need.

Having recently met Colorado State Rep. Kathleen Conti (HD 38), I'm very impressed by her willingness to talk with constituents and hear their concerns. Amazingly, Rep. Conti is going door-to-door asking voters what issues are most on their minds. On countless occasions, she has given out her phone number and asked people to call with issues of importance to them. What a pleasant change from many politicians, who once elected, forget about the needs of the people who voted for them. We are indeed fortunate to have someone like Kathleen Conti working for us in the Colorado State House and I look forward to voting for her this coming November.

"Thank you Rep. Conti for making our streets safer"

Congratulations to our Colo. State Rep. Kathleen Conti, HD 38, for co-sponsoring and getting signed into law House Bill 1084, which now makes it a Class 4 felony (same as drunk driving) for leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily injury. The bill thus removes the incentive that drunk drivers had, to leave the scene of an accident to sober up before being caught or surrendering to police. In light of the fact that 32 percent of Colorado traffic deaths involve alcohol, this bill will help reduce drunk driving deaths. Thanks go to Conti and her fellow legislators who took the time and energy to pass a law that will make our streets safer.
