I consider it an honor to serve the people of House District 38 as their representative at the capital. Now as a candidate for Arapahoe County Commissioner District 1, I look forward to bring in the skills and knowledge that I have gained. I care about our citizens, and understand the challenges facing our families and businesses today. I will continue to fight protecting your hard earned tax dollars, provide greater governmental accountability, the beautiful state we love, get our economy back on track, and keep our economy moving forward.
As I have visited with people in the community, we share common concerns about needed tort reform and strangling regulations that are costing millions, stealing resources, and destroying our ability to create the jobs that continue to be needed.
As I talk with fellow small business owners, they have shared their struggle,” just to hang on”, I understand this. Having been a small business owner, I know first hand how tax increases, not yet repealed, as well as the regulatory burdens are impacting Colorado’s businesses and our economy; although we have eliminated some, (the agriculture tax, and the downloadable software tax were both taken back to their tax exempt status) there is still much work to be done!
I'm a firm believer in social security and medi-care, my mom is a recipient of these programs as well as millions of other seniors. Yet, I think we all realize, they are in desperate need of reform, so that they can continue to be there for future generations who are paying into them today.
I am a strong supporter of our military, as my Father served and 2 others in my family have served in the Army and Marines, I am also keenly aware of the sacrifices made by members of the families of those who serve. We are deeply in your debt for the freedoms we enjoy, and I humbly thank all who serve today or from any time in our great history.
